Amorphous solid dispersions of ritonavir by melt-quenching

چکیده
Ritonavir is crystalline solid which very slightly soluble in water yet having high dose. This condition necessitates enhancement of solubility before developing into dosage forms. Melt-quenching recently exploring technique for amorphous dispersions (ASDs) drugs to with a hydrophilic carrier enhance solubility. ASDs have drawback poor thermodynamic stability needs be considered. The current work was aimed develop improved thermodynamically stable. Quality by design (QbD) employed elucidate the effects carrier, plasticizer and cooling temperature on prepared ASDs. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) X-ray diffraction (X-RD) analysis were performed investigate physical state upon storage. These results illustrated factors significant at p< 0.05. Statistical optimization identify best combination obtain maximum stability. Soluplus as 50% w/w, Poloxamer 188 15% w/w at6.81oC found desired
